Upcoming Workshops:

STAYING: PARENTING IN RECOVERY

April 15, 2026, April 29, 2026, May 6, 2026 | 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM | Zoom
Taught by: Rabbi Yali Szulanski

Parenting brings everything to the surface. The noise. The urgency. The moments when a child?s feelings arrive bigger than the space can hold, and the body remembers old ways of coping.

This workshop is for parents in recovery who are practicing how to stay present, with their children and with themselves.

Across three sessions, (April 15th, April 29th, May 6th (all at 8:00PM) we will work with the body first, noticing how overwhelm and urgency show up physically, and practicing simple ways of finding steadiness in the middle of real moments. The focus is on presence rather than performance, on learning how to remain engaged when things feel hard, ordinary, or emotionally full.

This is a relational space for parents doing recovery while raising children in real time. You are invited to come as you are, with whatever is present, and to practice staying together.

Recovery does not simplify life. It deepens our capacity to live inside it,

I am: Beyond Identity

April 22, 2026 | 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM | 14th Street Y
With: Melissa Weisz

I Am: Beyond Identity is a creative, reflective workshop about exploring the identities we carry - the ones society places on us, the ones we inherit, and the ones we place on ourselves. The intention isn?t to erase identity, but to loosen what feels limiting, reductive, or no longer serving us, and to reconnect with the deeper sense of self underneath.

The workshop centers empowerment, resilience, and choice, offering participants a space to reflect, write, and, if they choose, share their I Am statements in a non-performative, supportive environment. A core idea in the work is that identities can shift over time, but selfhood remains steady. The process helps participants reconnect with that through line.
